Introduction
A strong online presence is crucial for local radio. This project tackles that challenge, using Kosmos 94.1 as a case study to show how UI/UX design boosts online engagement. I'm bridging design theory with technical implementation by building the Kosmos 94.1 website using WordPress. This "research through creation" approach offers hands-on learning about backend structures and their connection to frontend design. The project will deliver a functional website, detailed process insights, and a portfolio showcasing design and technical understanding. Get ready to see how graphic design integrates with web development to create a vibrant online space for local radio!
COMPETITORS
The current Kosmos 94.1 website suffers from significant flaws: visual inconsistency, minimal interactivity, repetitive design, and a lack of engaging content, despite functional podcasting and live radio. This necessitates major improvements in branding, user experience, content management, and technical reliability. The competitor analysis, including local players like Radio Wave and Nova 103.5, and international ones like Kiss FM and WSM Radio, highlights key trends. Notably, as seen in the visualization, the amount of content doesn't always reflect quality, with WSM Radio's minimal yet effective design serving as a prime example.
